Well, Hello There!

Wow! My last post was in September and that was about something that happened 3 weeks before that! I’ve got to get my blogging life together.  So, I’ve been missing from these parts for quite awhile.  This post will be a pictorial catch up of what’s been going on in Mrs. M’s life.  I’ll try not to make it too picture heavy, besides, if you follow me on IG (@thelifeofmrsm)   you’re up to date on the happenings.

RJ attends daycare at a methodist church.  They celebrate Children’s Sabbath.  The kids in 2k, 3k and 4k learn songs to sing during that service.  This is a verse from “If I Were a Butterfly”

Denver Downs

We returned to Denver Downs pumpkin patch year.  We took RJ two years ago. That year we experience a severe drought and the “corn maze” was basically the height of grass. No joke.  With all the rain we had this summer, that wasn’t a problem. They had corn growing every where!  They  had a lot more activities for the kids.

Nivens Farm

We joined my Mommy friends and their families and hit up Nivens Apple Farm.  Our boys had a blast!

I organized another Trunk or Treat at RJ’s school.  It went well.  I was Izzy to his Jake! “Yay Hey No Way!”

…and since we went to two pumpkin patches, we had to carve at least one.  *Ignore my dying mum.

Turns out one of RJ’s classmates lives right down the street from us.  Her mom suggested we take the kids trick or treating.  We’ve only done trunk or treat in the past, but I agreed.  We went to a neighborhood about 5 mins from us.*It’s my dream neighborhood* It was packed!  People were riding around on golf carts and I saw two trick or treat party wagons complete with fog machines, lights and music.  Who knew?!  The kids had so much fun, so did the parents.

Two days later we shifted gears from pirates and princesses, to saints!   Instead of having the kids dress in regular Halloween costumes, the kids dressed as saints for our parish picnic.

RJ was Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals.  Obviously, I made his costume myself!  I got the bird from Hobby Lobby and super glued it to a ring from a lollipop ring he’d eaten.  He was missing the cross on his rope, but oh well… *BTW He totally preferred his Jake costume to this one

Whew!  That’s what we’ve been up to for the last month.  Now, I’m shifting into birthday mode.  RJ’s party is this weekend and my father-in-law will be here Friday.  I promise to check back in before then.  See ya!
