We’re still on the potty training track. It’s going pretty well, especially peeing. Pooping is proving to be a little more difficult, but we’re still proud of the progress. M&Ms and Thomas the Train stickers are doing the trick. We’re still using pull-ups, but I got him some big boy undies this weekend. Last Friday, at school, he only had an accident in his pull-up once:)
The pink eye is still around. Unlike when he first got the infection last year, I did not put drops in the infected eye and the other. So, this time when the bad eye cleared the good eye went bad. *Bad mommy* Needless to say this time I’m putting drops in both eyes. The
struggle all out war to put the drops in continues.
I started tracking my food and caloric intake with the myfitnesspal app again. I’ve found tracking is the only way I see progress. If I don’t do it I eat mindlessly. It’s helpful to start with a set amount of calories for the day and watch them tick away. Sometimes I go over, weekends are my weakness, but I’m more mindful of my choices when I’m reaching my limit. What I do need is a better way to track how many calories I’m burning during my workouts. I plan to get a polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor, like the ones Nellie and Amber have. Right now I’m plugging in default numbers from myfitnesspal. However, I don’t think they are accurate for me. Jillian Michaels has been kicking my ass a lot more than myfitnesspal is saying she has. *As of my weigh in this morning, I’ve loss 2 pounds!* Check out me and my workout buddy!
Hubby’s birthday is coming up this Saturday. We’re keeping it low key and heading to Charlotte for lunch with some friends. I like to plan surprises for him. Today he told me he hoped I hadn’t planned anything big. He said I always plan big things for him, but he’s not a planner and feels bad that he doesn’t return the favor on the same scale. I plan surprises for him because I LOVE planning things! I think I got a high from planning his Father’s Day activities last year. That’s just me. He does plan things on a smaller scale, but just a nice. This Valentine’s Day he and RJ came to my job without me knowing, took my car and left me his truck decorated with gel hearts on the windows, and fresh flowers, candy and bottles of wine inside. It was so sweet.
I’m in the beginning stages of planning a baby shower for my co-manager. Before she got pregnant, I came across a version of these on a blog or Pinterest:

I let her know that when baby shower time came, these would definitely be on the menu! Don’t they look so refreshing?!
