We have a couple of weekend trips planned for March and April. I’m so grateful my co-worker has agreed to feed and walk our dogs while we gone. Let me tell you, I love my dogs, but pet boarding costs are a bitch! Plus, one of our dogs takes thyroid meds (yes, thyroid meds) twice/day. Petsmart charges for each pill they give her!
There a PJ Party/Parent’s Night Out planned at RJ’s school this weekend. *It’s such a hit, we now have one every month!* We’ll be getting together with some friends this weekend for an early couples’ Valentine’s dinner. We’re going to hit a wine bar and try out a new restaurant.
Right now there are piles of clothes, clean and dirty in my bedroom… They’ve been here for over a week. I’m just not feeling housework right now. We need a maid.
The agency I work for is in the midst of strategic planning and there are some big changes coming down the pike. I must say, it’s a plus to have a boss who used to work in my position and isn’t so far remove that she’s out of touch. I love that she understands and considers personalities as she’s implementing changes.
I want to cut my hair super short, I want to let it grow out super long, I want havana twists, I want color, I want a good wig, I want a weave, I want…. Well, I don’t know what I want to do with my hair.
Tomorrow, I’m going to be fitted with a cardiac event monitor (portable heart monitor). I’ve been experiencing chest flutters off and on for several years. Because of my age and the fact that I haven’t had other symptoms, my doctor hasn’t been concerned. Last week I experienced a series of strong flutters. I never have them when I’m at the doctor, of course. So, I’lll wear the monitor in an attempt to catch what’s happening. My doctor is still not overly concerned, but I need to know what’s going on. It could be nothing which would be great, but what if it’s something that can be fixed? Personally, I really despise when doctors say, “You’re only ____ years old, so you’re fine.” Ummm no sir, I don’t believe you, you need more people.
