Romance Wednesday

About one month into dating my husband, my father died. We had been planning a trip to my hometown, so he could meet my father.  The weekend we planned to make the trip, ended up being the weekend of my father’s funeral.

Hubby kept his travel plans and spent the week, leading up the funeral, with me and my family.  We were only a month into our relationship and he really didn’t have to do that, but he wanted to. That gesture is what let me know he was someone special.  He could have sent a card, flowers or just showed up on the day of the funeral, but he chose to be by my side.

Ever since that day, I’ve known that I can ALWAYS count on him to be there for me. Through the good and bad, he is right there to cheer me on or lend his shoulder.  I’m so blessed to have found a compassionate, sensitive, caring man to share this life with.  I just want him to know how much he is appreciated. I hope I’m doing a good job of reciprocating the love, caring and compassion that he shows me.

What a beautiful story and couple!!!! Thanks so much for participating, Jenni! I agree that his gesture so soon into your relationship was a huge neon blinking sign saying: HE’S A KEEPER! LOL

Thank you very much. I see that you are currently in Belize. That was one of our stops on our honeymoon cruise! We did a little cave exploring there and loved it:)
