Tuesday, January, 12, Haiti was rocked by an 7.0 earthquake. An earthquake of that magnitude can be destructive anywhere but for Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, it was obliterating. Times are hard here in the US, however, the proverb, “I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man with no feet.” comes to mind. There is always someone worse off than you. I read that right now the greatest need is for monetary donation. Please help in anyway you can. I have posted a link to a list of credible charities to give to.
Also, contrary to what some people believe, I am certain that the Haitian people and their families searching for them can use your prayers as well. Prayer changes things.
I am not asking others to help and doing nothing myself. Our household has donated to: Doctors without Borders, Food for the Poor & Yele Haiti.
