Family Day – Then & Now

Alert: picture heavy post

Sunday was Hubby’s job annual Family Day.  With my sister being in town and entertaining her, I’d forgotten that the event was right around the corner. Last year the event was a huge festival, held on the job site, and centered around a live performance by Morris Day and the Time.  This year, the company bought out Carowinds for a day so employees and their families to have fun on the company’s dime.  Apparently, the park is on an every other year rotation.  The first Family Day we attended was in 2011 and it was also held at the park.  The 2011 and last year’s events were held in the fall.  This time we were in the dead of summer which allowed us access to the rides and the theme park’s water park. *I thought we were going to avoid the water and didn’t pack water gear… my guys had other plans.* As with our first Family Day experience, we spent the day in Snoopy Planet, the portion of the park for small children.  On our first trip, RJ was just shy of his first birthday. It was great to see him there two years later.  He’s grown so much.  This time around he was big enough ride several more rides and really enjoy himself.  Here’s a look at him then and now:

…and the new experiences

Since he was older and could react more, it was a lot more fun this time around.
