Birthday and The Bears

Our god-daughter, Nyla’s birthday was yesterday, but her party was in Charlotte this past Saturday.  She decided she wanted to take her guests to Build-A-Bear and Chick-Fil-A and that’s what we did.  Though, one of my girlfriends gave RJ a gift card to BAB for his baptism last year, we hadn’t taken him yet.   I was aware of the process, but had never experienced it.  I think it’s rather cute that the kids really do stuff the bears and give them a heart.

Hubby, RJ and I arrived before the rest of our group.  The store was practically empty.  My BFF, Nyla’s mom didn’t do a formal party through BAB. I don’t blame her.   One, they don’t do parties for fewer than 6 kids.   Two, footing the bill for a lot of kids at BAB is not cheap.  There were only 4 in our party.   So, we just  had the kids go through the process together instead of a “party”.  By the time we corralled our 4, the store had gone from empty to chaos.   With a large party taking place and additional customers, it was a little crowded.  However, we the kids had a great time!

He chose a dog instead of a bear.

When I asked him what he wanted to name is dog, he responded, “Doggie”.  Of course, what was I thinking! 😐

Off to Chick-Fil-A…

Nyla started dance classes a few months ago.  So, this is very fitting cake for our Angelina Ballerina.

Cute cake my BFF's co-worker made for the birthday day.

Apparently, building a bear and eating cake and ice cream can wear a boy out!

Thanks. I think I’m getting the hang of it. I just need to get Cristina to make header, in the coming months and I’ll be set.
